This morning's diversion technique - get busy with pipe-cleaners. We made Santas, reindeer, and ice-skating snowmen (which looked more like tall skinny Olympic Russian figure skaters). J decorated the gingerbread house with his - M made a ski lift for his Santa across the living room. It turned the screaming and chaos into fun and laughter in seconds (there should be some magical Christmas story written about it all...and the mom that lived to tell about it). The secret seems to be staying BUSY.
We then headed off to the Art Museum for the rest of the morning with the Manwarings - one of our favorite places to visit on school vacations. At the museum J drew a picture of himself and Santa - he showed it to Jodi and myself. He was mad in the picture! We all got a good laugh out of it. At least he is very aware of the whole situation!! 3 more days...and I'm counting too.
