This morning the boys skipped school so that we could drive down to
Draper.....to start digging our foundation!! Hooray!! The building
officially started today.
Dale, the back-hoe driver, let each boy come and sit with him in the cab
of the digger one at a time. He did some digging with each boy, and
then taught them how to run the controls by themselves. To our
surprise, he let each boy then run the tractor by themselves!! What a
blast.
Michael and Jacob were really good at digging enormous scoops, then turning the digger and dumping the dirt.
Scotty took control and lifted the bucket up as high as it could go. We
all gasped, while Dale laughed. I didn't even take a photo, I was too
surprised to see the giant arm of the tractor reaching up to the sky!
It should take about 3 days to dig the enormous hole. What a fun morning!
