Cascade Springs

Saturday turned out to be a glorious day with no obligations. We called our favorite triplet family and headed off for the mountains. A nice drive to Cascade Springs, turned out to be a harrowing cliffside drive to the top of American Fork Canyon. It was a bit further than we had originally thought, but a good adventure regardless. The springs are located in Uinta National Park on the Alpine Loop. Apparently 7 million gallons of water come up thru these springs a day. The water was ice cold and full of trout that were easy to see from the walk-ways. After the easy hike and a bit of lunch, we went down to a larger corner of a creek and all the kids got in the freezing water!
Michael planned this photo for me to take of him.
Here Michael is showing Tessa the fish.
Little boys with rocks and water. Karin found a shallow trickle of water for the little kids to touch.
