Today's King

Wearing a shiny blue cape with gold collar, a red velvet shirt found in my closet, a golden plastic crown from Disneyland (Mouse ears pulled off) and carrying the REAL sword made by Michael - he became "King Jacob".  He had me run downstairs calling, "The King is Coming! The King is Coming! The King is Coming!"  Making his royal entry, all the boys marveled at his costume.  [Later each one tried it on, and Scotty had me call that he was coming too!].
Then off to the V-Day Royal Ball with his grandmother Queen at his side and a basket full of cards to hand out to friends.  The whole eventful day is reason enough to send children to that school.  Cardboard castles fill the dance room.  Stick ponies line up on a bench ready for a riding dance and free play.  A golden throne to sit upon, and waltzing lessons are just some of the fun activities.  Each child leaves with an enormous basket of valentine cards with treats, and a candy & cookie royal scepter the teachers make for each child.  Jacob was proud to have danced the entire time this year - and he liked it!!
