Over Thanksgiving break we ventured up to Hill Air Force Base to tour the air plane museum. How is it, that our family of all boys has never visited this amazing museum before? We had Sam-the-perfect-tour-guide with us. He knows more about every plane that has ever been used in all the armed forces than volumes of encyclopedias. It was very fun to have him tell us all about fighters and bombers. It was the perfect field trip after spending 3 days experimenting with at least 100 trick paper airplanes at home.
The boys all made paper rockets and went outside to launch them with an air compressor. Michael turned his fins to see if his would spin. The man running the activity noticed his shaped fins before launching and asked him to explain why he did that. With a big smile the man started the countdown. Mikey's rocket shot up into the sky 4 stories and spiraled the entire way down! Success.
