It wouldn't be Valentine's Day without sugar cookies. Nick's family was supposed to join us for dinner and decorating but called and canceled due to sick kids. We called our neighbors to come and join us. What a fun night! The kids played and played and played. We ate yummy Italian Wedding Soup. Then the kids had a blast decorating, eating frosting, squirting frosting and seeing each other's creations.
Colin had his own batch of frosting - made with palm oil shortening,
almond milk, powdered sugar and colored & flavored with strawberry
jam. He rubbed it all in his hair and was having just as much fun as
the other kids. 5 hairwashes later and he still had a greasy head!
