On Monday Scotty's preschool celebrated Valentine's Day in royal fashion. All children were invited to attend the Royal Ball - Scotty thought it was called the Crystal Ball! All 30 children came in princess or knight costumes. The dance room was filled with castle backdrops. I was lucky enough to be a helper mom on my most favorite day of preschool.
This is Scotty and his best friend Isabelle. She is a full head taller than he is, and loves to play Mom to Scotty. He loves every minute of it.
We made roses out of Model Magic, ate royal snack, danced with stick horses, passed out Valentines, and each child was presented at the Royal Court - announcing Sir Scott! Then all the children were taught the dance for the ball. Together, apart; together, apart; one child spins; the other child spins; dance around the room holding hands; bow and say thank you and find another partner. Scotty danced his heart out. He was quite graceful, I must admit.
