When I was a little girl I used to like to lay down by the Christmas tree in the evening and look up at the lights above me. It was magical. I had this memory today, and wondered if my children did the same thing. Then I realized that our tree is always on the hardwood floor in the kitchen - not very cozy. I went and pulled out my sheepskin rug that my Grampa Murray gave me in college and laid it by the tree to see what would happen. 3 curious boys watched me wondering. Without needing to explain, they found their way to the rug laying under the lights. Jacob loved it so much he pulled Scotty by the head, into the "perfect" position that made the lights look like "colorful stars in the sky".
