We continue the holiday baking. Now Scotty asks for cookie dough at breakfast almost every morning. I even indulged him once. On Sunday made our traditional Christmas tree and Santa sugar cookies. Jacob helped dip each one in a frosting glaze. These are the boys' favorite Christmas cookie. 
Yesterday we made divinity.
Scotty whipped the egg whites. Jacob stired the sugar on the stove. Michael was in charge of watching the candy thermometer. He also had to help me keep the mixer running while I poured the hot sugar into the egg whites. It was all quite a process, but they loved it of course. Each boy likes to be given REAL jobs to help. The more dangerous or involving machinery the better.
