Art Exhibit

Last Tuesday the big boys were out of school for a teacher work day. Amy came to babysit the two littles, and we headed down to Provo to go to the BYU art museum to see a special art exhibit (as it was advised that Scotty was too young for the experience). The museum has a special exhibit of 5 Carl Bloch paintings of Jesus Christ, visiting from Lutheran cathedrals in Denmark. It took years to negotiate this arrangement, and it is a wonderful occasion. The night before I was telling Michael the plan. He said to me, "Well since I have the Holy Ghost now, this will be great. It will be a
boost".

And we are able to report that it was a BOOST for all 3 of us! This was Michael's favorite painting of the 5. He says that it was just because he liked the way it made him feel. Jacob loved the other one above because he liked what the scholar taught us on our iPad tour - that Christ not only bids us to have the faith of a child, but that he wants all people on earth to be kind to little children. Jacob liked this message. We spent an hour admiring, talking about and listening to our tour of these 5 glorious paintings. What a treat!
