We celebrated birthdays this summer without big parties - a first for us. Jacob turned 8 two weeks before we moved out of our home. We had ice cream cake, and played pin the tail on the donkey as a family. The best part was that he was totally satisfied with this tiny celebration. He does get to invite some old school friends over to swim next week now that we are moved in, before starting his new school.
The basketball hoop for his bedroom door was thrilling! I love it when presents are a hit!!
