Fall Leaf Haul

At school on Friday, the 2 big boys spent their morning raking leaves at the houses near their school.  The annual Fall Leaf Haul is a school service project.  Kids work in their "family groups" - small groups of kids of mixed grade levels.  Family Groups eat lunch together every Monday with their FG Teacher for the year.  Our boys worked really hard on the cold fall morning.  Jacob loved the hot chocolate at the end.
When we pulled into the driveway after school Michael asked if he could earn some money by raking our yard.  I said it depended on how hard and how long he worked.
All the boys watched him for a minute - it looked fun!  Soon all 4 were raking their little hearts out!  Even Colin wanted to be just like the big boys - closely watching and then trying to rake with his little yellow rake.
The boys worked for about 1.5  hours.  Cheerfully working together, it was a joyful afternoon in the front yard!  Scotty wanted to make sure I took a photo of his little pile he made all by himself.
